19C Old Antique Jogini Statue handmade in Nepal
Size : 26 inch.

Material : Brass.
The deity Jogini, Vajrayogini or Vijeshvari, is sixteen years old radiantly beautiful with a youthful freshness and vitality and her face bears an intense expression reflecting her passionate nature. She is red and has three eyes, symbolizing her ability to see past, present and future simultaneously. In her left hand she holds a skull cup filled with blood as if she were about to drink from it and in her right hand is the kartri, a curved flaying knife marked by a Vajra symbolizing the wisdom. She wears a garland of fifty human skulls. She is depicted totally naked signifying that the experience of great bliss or Mahamudra is free of conceptual thought.
This is a heavy Classical Old Jogini Antique Statue.
It is of very high quality, fine Art Quality!!! item made by Newar (Shakya) Artist in Patan, Nepal.
The statue is acquired from old artist and collector Mr. Chakra Raj Shakya in Patan, Nepal. This is a Museum Piece as it is the only one remaining of its kind.
It is believed to be manufactured in the late 19th century.
