This is a beautiful Vajrasattva thangka with brocade made in Nepal by the Lama artist. It has detailed artwork and takes 3-5 months of intense hardwork to complete this piece of thangka.
The Nepali Buddhist regards Vajrasattva, the sixth Dhyani Buddha, as the priest of the Five-Dhyani Buddha. His worship is always performed in secret and is not open to those who are not initiated into the mysteries of Vajrayana. Vajrasattva is represented in two forms, single and yabyum. This Dhyani Buddha wears all the ornaments, rich dress and crown. He sits cross-legged in the meditative pose like other Dhyani Buddha’s. He carries Vajra in his right hand with palms upward against the chest and ghanta (bell) in the left hand resting upon the left thigh.
