This is a beautiful pendant, handmade in Nepal by Newar artist. It is popularly known as Dharmachakra and very famous in eastern or western world.
The Dharmachakra is one of the eight auspicious symbol of buddhism. Regarded as one of the oldest known buddhist symbol found in indian art in the time of buddhist king Ashoka.A traditional dharma wheel is a chariot wheel with varying numbers of spokes. It can be in any color, although it is most commonly gold. At the center sometimes there are three shapes swirling together, although sometimes at the center is a yin-yang symbol, or another wheel, gem or an empty circle.
